FAQ
Donation questions, answered.
What kind of equipment can I donate?+
Almost any sports gear in usable condition, including rackets, balls, cleats, gloves, helmets, pads, and other protective equipment. If you are not sure whether something is useful, ask us in the form and we will let you know.
Does the equipment need to be brand new?+
No. We gladly accept both new and gently-used items. Everything is cleaned, inspected, and checked for safety before it goes to a young athlete. We simply ask that gear is not broken or unsafe.
Is my donation tax-deductible?+
Yes. Sports Trinity is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 93-2267745), so your equipment donation may be tax-deductible. We can provide a donation acknowledgment for your records on request.
How do drop-off and pickup work?+
After you submit the donation form, we reach out to arrange the most convenient option for you. Depending on your location and the amount of equipment, we can coordinate a drop-off point or, in many cases, arrange a pickup.
Where does my donated equipment end up?+
Every item is matched with a school or youth program that has specifically asked for help, both across New Jersey and in communities abroad. Our recent deliveries include a $15,000 squash equipment donation to young athletes in Nigeria.
