Nigeria Squash Donation
Over $15,000 in equipment delivered to young athletes, and for many, their first structured chance to play.
During the summer of 2025, Sports Trinity made a meaningful impact by donating more than $15,000 in sports equipment to children in Nigeria. Our contribution included squash rackets, balls, protective gear, and other essential equipment. For many of these kids, it was their first opportunity to experience the sport in a structured way.
In regions with limited access to recreational resources, donations like this enable young athletes to play and grow. Access to proper equipment is often the single biggest barrier between a child and the chance to take part in a sport, and removing that barrier opens the door to teamwork, discipline, and confidence that lasts far beyond the court.
How the donation came together
The delivery was the result of months of collecting, sorting, and coordinating. Working with partners on the ground in Nigeria, we identified programs that were eager to introduce squash to their students but lacked the equipment to do so. We then gathered and prepared a full set of rackets, balls, and protective gear and arranged for it to be shipped and hand-delivered directly to the young athletes who would use it.
Impact on the ground
For the children who received the equipment, the donation meant far more than new gear. It meant the ability to pick up a racket for the first time, to learn a new sport, and to be part of a team. Local coaches were able to build structured practice sessions around the new equipment, giving students a consistent, supportive environment to develop their skills and their confidence.
Recognition and what comes next
The initiative was recognized by the Nigerian Government for its contribution to youth sport in under-resourced communities, an honor we are deeply proud of. But we see this donation as a beginning rather than a finish line. Our goal is to keep expanding the number of communities we reach, both internationally and here in New Jersey, so that more young athletes everywhere get the equal shot they deserve.
